Dr. Reddy's Labs Q1 net profit down 56.49% at Rs 413.40 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 413.40 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2021 as compared to Rs 950.20 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 56.49 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 6.08 per cent at Rs 3,433.50 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 3,236.80 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During April-June quarter, operating expenses increased by 24.01 per cent to Rs 2,871.60 crore from Rs 2,315.70 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 71.12 per cent at Rs 186.20 crore versus (Jun'20 Rs 644.70 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 39.50 per cent to Rs 561.90 crore as against Rs 928.70 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 42.94 per cent in June quarter.

Interest declined by 53.57 per cent y-o-y to Rs 6.50 crore, while Taxation decreased by 68.14 per cent at Rs 131.10 crore (Jun'20 Rs 411.50 crore).
