MTNL posts Q1 net loss of Rs 688.13 cr

The company reported standalone net loss during the quarter stood at Rs 688.13 crore as compared to net loss of Rs 636.41 crore in the previous year quarter.

Net revenue of the company declined moderately by 19.39 per cent at Rs 283.81 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 352.07 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During April-June quarter, operating expenses increased by 11.72 per cent to Rs 372.12 crore from Rs 333.09 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 11.39 per cent at Rs 114.92 crore versus (Jun'20 Rs 103.17 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 565.28 per cent to Rs -88.31 crore as against Rs 18.98 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 677.37 per cent in June quarter.

Interest declined by 1.85 per cent y-o-y to Rs 516.06 crore
