Nestle India Q2 net profit up 10.68% at Rs 538.58 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 538.58 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2021 as compared to Rs 486.60 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 10.68 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 14.31 per cent at Rs 3,476.70 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 3,041.45 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During April-June quarter, operating expenses increased by 14.15 per cent to Rs 2,628.70 crore from Rs 2,302.92 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 22.30 per cent at Rs 29.47 crore versus (Jun'20 Rs 37.93 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 13.44 per cent to Rs 848.00 crore as against Rs 747.56 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 0.77 per cent in June quarter.

Interest grew by 26.69 per cent y-o-y to Rs 51.69 crore, while Taxation increased by 15.84 per cent at Rs 191.91 crore (Jun'20 Rs 165.67 crore).
