Colgate Palm. Q2 net profit down 1.83% at Rs 269.17 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 269.17 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2021 as compared to Rs 274.19 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 1.83 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose by 5.19 per cent at Rs 1,343.96 crore in July-September quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,277.66 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During July-September quarter, operating expenses increased by 8.61 per cent to Rs 951.66 crore from Rs 876.19 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 14.00 per cent at Rs 6.51 crore versus (Sep'20 Rs 7.57 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 2.08 per cent to Rs 400.76 crore as against Rs 409.29 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 6.90 per cent in September quarter.

Interest declined by 17.58 per cent y-o-y to Rs 1.50 crore, while Taxation decreased by 3.20 per cent at Rs 91.71 crore (Sep'20 Rs 94.74 crore).
