Bajaj Auto Q2 net profit up 11.98% at Rs 1274.55 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 1,274.55 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2021 as compared to Rs 1138.20 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 11.98 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 19.09 per cent at Rs 8,385.78 crore in July-September quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 7,041.48 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During July-September quarter, operating expenses increased by 24.98 per cent to Rs 7,361.06 crore from Rs 5,889.63 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 11.38 per cent at Rs 318.32 crore versus (Sep'20 Rs 285.80 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 10.65 per cent to Rs 1,401.12 crore as against Rs 1,266.23 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 7.06 per cent in September quarter.

Interest declined by 35.85 per cent y-o-y to Rs 1.70 crore, while Taxation increased by 8.86 per cent at Rs 377.59 crore (Sep'20 Rs 346.86 crore).
