Nestle India Q1 net profit down 1.25% at Rs 594.71 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 594.71 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 602.25 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 1.25 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 10.24 per cent at Rs 3,980.70 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 3,610.82 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 13.99 per cent to Rs 3,056.05 crore from Rs 2,680.95 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 27.69 per cent at Rs 21.44 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 29.65 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 0.56 per cent to Rs 924.65 crore as against Rs 929.87 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 9.79 per cent in March quarter.

Interest declined by 34.18 per cent y-o-y to Rs 35.57 crore, while Taxation increased by 0.92 per cent at Rs 211.53 crore (Mar'21 Rs 209.61 crore).
