MTNL posts Q4 net loss of Rs 598.08 cr

The company reported standalone net loss during the quarter stood at Rs 598.08 crore as compared to net loss of Rs 600.82 crore in the previous year quarter.

Net revenue of the company declined substantially by 26.08 per cent at Rs 218.95 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 296.19 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 19.94 per cent to Rs 375.05 crore from Rs 312.71 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 80.25 per cent at Rs 279.66 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 155.15 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 844.92 per cent to Rs -156.10 crore as against Rs -16.52 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 1177.60 per cent in March quarter.

Interest grew by 1.31 per cent y-o-y to Rs 538.04 crore
