L&T Q4 net profit down 11.22% at Rs 2666.07 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 2,666.07 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024 as compared to Rs 3002.85 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 11.22 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 7.67 per cent at Rs 39,553.27 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 36,734.13 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 8.77 per cent to Rs 36,121.82 crore from Rs 33,209.93 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 5.50 per cent at Rs 1,020.49 crore versus (Mar'23 Rs 1,079.92 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 2.63 per cent to Rs 3,431.45 crore as against Rs 3,524.20 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 9.49 per cent in March quarter.

Interest grew by 20.68 per cent y-o-y to Rs 644.46 crore, while Taxation decreased by 5.21 per cent at Rs 673.01 crore (Mar'23 Rs 710.02 crore).
