Britannia Ind. Q4 net profit down 7.27% at Rs 353.46 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 353.46 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 381.16 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 7.27 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 8.62 per cent at Rs 2,856.50 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 2,629.79 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 8.98 per cent to Rs 2,464.82 crore from Rs 2,261.67 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 24.85 per cent at Rs 56.52 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 75.21 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 13.38 per cent to Rs 487.82 crore as against Rs 430.27 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 4.40 per cent in March quarter.

Interest declined by 0.82 per cent y-o-y to Rs 20.51 crore, while Taxation increased by 94.67 per cent at Rs 125.21 crore (Mar'20 Rs 64.32 crore).
