Hindustan Unilever L Q3 net profit up 16.76% at Rs 2243.00 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 2,243.00 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 1921.00 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 16.76 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 10.43 per cent at Rs 12,900.00 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 11,682.00 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During October-December quarter, operating expenses increased by 8.94 per cent to Rs 9,813.00 crore from Rs 9,008.00 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 6.19 per cent at Rs 91.00 crore versus (Dec'20 Rs 97.00 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 14.89 per cent to Rs 3,279.00 crore as against Rs 2,854.00 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 4.05 per cent in December quarter.

Interest declined by 39.02 per cent y-o-y to Rs 25.00 crore, while Taxation increased by 15.70 per cent at Rs 781.00 crore (Dec'20 Rs 675.00 crore).
