Mid-Session: Sensex up 151 points; Metal, Auto stocks support

Indian benchmark indices bounced back in green during the noon trading session supported by buying in index heavyweights including Tata Steel Ltd., JSW Steel Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.Tata Motors Ltd, Axis Bank Ltd and among others.



At 12:25 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 72795.38 up by 151.95 points or by 0.21 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22034.1 up by 10.75 points or by 0.05 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 72796.05 and intraday low of 72314.16 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22051.05 and intraday low of 21916.55



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 148.90,+5.19%), JSW Steel Ltd. (Rs. 807.05,+3.34%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1839.20,+2.07%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 963.45,+1.82%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1065.00,+1.59%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3584.15,-1.34%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2835.00,-1.14%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2307.25,-0.89%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1620.55,-0.88%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2585.00,-0.87%), among others.



Metal index was at 27178.37 up by 642.67 points or by 2.42%. Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 148.95,+5.23%), Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (Rs. 798.40,+3.95%), JSW Steel Ltd. (Rs. 808.00,+3.46%), Steel Authority of India (SAIL) Ltd. (Rs. 125.90,+3.41%), APL Apollo Tubes Ltd. (Rs. 1505.90,+2.08%),.



CDS index was at 50212.25 down by -346.89 points or by -0.69%. Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3583.55,-1.36%), Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. (Rs. 271.70,-1.27%), Voltas Ltd. (Rs. 1051.85,-1.27%), VIP Industries Ltd. (Rs. 460.95,-0.97%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4076 , shares advanced were 1976 while 1945 shares declined and 155 were unchanged.
